The Keyham masterplan vision embodies a set of crucial values: equality, good health, quality of life, sense of communal identity. We made sure to understand the needs of the communities that we are working with so that we could achieve an effective strategy that benefits all demographics within the surrounding area.

 

Within the vicinity of the site lies the local nursery which before the interventions were implemented was cramped and isolated with little space for the children to explore and have multi-generational connections. Our pragmatic proposals create a stronger generational link by creating shared ground between the programs aimed towards the children and the elderly, by situating the programs around the bowl it also creates a strong connection with the public space and activity within the bowl creating a more inclusive community
